DRINKWATER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The school opened in 1968 and is still in operation. The school was named after the pioneer Drinkwater family (William and Joseph Drinkwater). The Drinkwater brothers were early settlers in the Cowichan Valley.  William Drinkwater was Reeve of the Municipality of North Cowichan for two terms: 1878-1879 and 1888-1893
